Nigerian President Umaru Yar'Adua died late Wednesday at age 58 after a battle with heart and kidney disorders. Acting President Goodluck Jonathan is expected to be sworn in as president and appoint a new deputy. Yar'Adua has been absent since November when he left for treatment in Saudi Arabia. He returned in February but was too sick to govern. Jonathan became acting president in February and appointed his own cabinet and advisors.
