North Korea commits to being nuclear free

According to a story released Kim Jong Il has committed to being a nuclear free peninsula after his meeting with Chinese government officials. His trip was made in attempt to restart the six-party talks. These talks include North Korea, the United States, Japan, Russia, South Korea and China. The talks were ended last year by North Korea over international criticism they apparently did not appreciate. They have conveniently initiated these talks again after they were suspected of attacking a South Korean naval ship in March. It was also cited that North Korea is attempting to end what they consider to be a "state of war" in their land with the U.S. and have sanctions lifted by the U.N.
