Voting machines in Philippines malfunction

Tests on voting machines in the Philippines have shown wide spread malfunctioning. These tests come just a week before the general election in the Philippines to decide a new president. This is the first election in the Philippines that will be using a computerized system to tally the votes. One of the main reasons why the computerized system was implemented was to deter any cheating in the election, as elections in the past have had questionable results due to hand counts being fixed. So surely, this news of the new glitchy computerized voting tallying system will not ease the voters in the Philippines suspicions that the election will not be authentic.
