Greece's Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis called an election in September, only 2 years into his 4-year term. The people of Greece did not think he was doing his job well enough. Candidate George Papandreou proposed that in order to overcome governmental corruption and to build a green economy, a large stimulus package was in order. Mr. Papandreou won the election today with more than 43% of the vote, which is absolute majority in the Parliament.
