Hugo Chavez has blamed Venezuela's bourgeois for the country's recent economic woes. Venezuela is already entrenched in a recession and the news only gets worse as Venezuela expects to be the only country in South America to have negative GDP growth in 2010. One of Chavez's courses of action to rectify this problem is to seek justice against the country's bourgeois. One such included the rounding up of dozens of butchers last week that are accused of illegally hiking prices. Chavez believes Venezuela's inflation is due to the fact that the government has raised wages and the bourgeois have raised prices as well to counter the governments policy. This situation is ironic in that Chavez is staunch supporter against capitalism and believes the capital system is bringing down the United States and other countries, despite the fact that his non-capitalist run country is in worst economic shape than most free market countries.
