U.S. has 5,113 nuclear warheads

According to Hillary Clinton at the U.N. Nuclear Non-proliferation Conference in New York (more info on that conference in the article below) the United States has 5,113 nuclear warheads (a 75% reduction since 1989) in its stockpile and "several thousand" more retired warheads awaiting to be destroyed. This information goes back to 1962 and it part of a campaign to influence other countries (hint, hint, Iran) to be more open about the number of nuclear weapons they have.
