Two Car Bombings in Baghdad
Two car bombings took place in Iraq this Sunday. These are only the latest in a series of attacks that have taken place during the country's current state of political unrest. The first explosion took place at a sales office of Asiacell, an Iraqi mobile phone company, and the second blast was at a branch office of the Ministry of National Security in Khadimiya. No one has claimed responsibility for the attacks but Asiacell has previously been attacked by Al Qaeda and has been receiving threats for refusals to pay extortion money to insurgents. At least 29 people were killed in the two bombings along with more than 100 others that were injured in the attacks.
