Philippe Futa, the Economic Minister for the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), died in Paris, France on Thursday. Minister Futa had been in Paris following his trip to Caracas, Venezuela, where he had represented the DRC in the Latin America-Africa Summit. The cause of death was cardiac arrest, although Congolese sourches have stated the circumstances leading up to Futa's death remain unknown. Minister Futa leaves behind a widow and ten children.
