In a news conference held by Iranian President Ahmadenijad, International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Chairman Mohamed ElBaradei confirmed that a IAEA and UN inspection team will enter the country on October 25th. The chairman expressed optimism that the inspections will be a success and that Iran could begin to mend their relations with the United States and its allies in terms its nuclear progams. However, the US is proceeding with extreme caution. They believe that the Iranian government will be unwilling to allow inspections outside of Qum, the newly discovered facility, and that denial will ultimately allow other incriminating aspects of their program to go unnoticed. The exact terms of the inspections will be finalized on October 19th.
