Friday, December 3rd of this year, President Biden announced that the United States would help aid in COVID vaccines, shipping 9 million vaccine doses to Africa and 2 million worldwide. This could be essential in fight against COVID especially now because another variant has been discovered to infect the population. During his announcement, Biden mentioned that he will be pushing other countries to take on a stronger role in fighting against COVID, but I do think its a little ironic and controversial that he plans on encouraging other countries to do so when in the United States it has been difficult to encourage our own neighbors and citizens to get vaccinated. So I think it'll be interesting to see where this goes.
