A US-funded radio station, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty is distributing solar powered radios to the more remote, ordinary places in Afghanistan. They are trying to combat the Taliban-sponsored stations, or "Mullah Radios" that are spewing anti-western afghan government and anti-troop propaganda. These $20 dollar radios are being transported by Afghan Air Force planes into the isolated villages. These people don't have the dollars to spend on electricity or dollars, so their connection to the world depends on the radio. The one side to this war is the insurgents' weapons, and the other side is the propaganda.
