In this article Vanessa Romo writes of the highest EU court ruling that Poland must reinstate the Supreme Court justices who were forced to retire and to reverse the new law completely. The article also included reactions from many different types of people. For the general public as well as lower ranking judges, this ruling provides hope that Duda's (the leader of Poland) quest to seemingly make his government an authoritarian one will be halted. However the reaction from Duda's cabinet chief, Krzysztof Szczerski, that "it's impossible for law to work in reverse", hints that Duda's government may not be so willing to comply with the EU and in fact may just completely ignore it.
