A suicide bomber attacked a troop convoy in Kabul today, killing 15 people of which 6 six were believed to be Americans. The Hezb-e-Islami, an ally to the Taliban, claimed responsibility for the attack. Members of NATO's International Security Assistance Force were also killed in the bombing. A spokesperson for the Hezb-e-Islami said that the target for the attack was American military advisers. Numerous other civilians were injured from broken glass and shrapnel coming from the blast. Afghan president Hamid Karzai called the attack 'cowardly' and has accused Pakistan of attempting to destabilize the country.
