Syrian Refugees and Violence in Reyhanlı, Turkey

Reyhanlı, Turkey, located on the border with Syria, has more than 600 refugees that fled the conflict in Syria, but continue to face bombings. Where should someone go if his or her refuge is no longer a safe haven? The refugees were gathered into buildings where they set up a guard. While there is tension between them and the local residents, “This tension is temporary. I do not think the people of Reyhanlı are outraged against refugees, since half of the refugees are related to the locals. The Turkish government indicated some groups and ruled out links between Syrian rebels and these attacks". Amidst the attacks on the border, questions have arisen toward delimiting media freedom specifically regarding the ban that hindered media representation of the attacks.
