Crowd Led by Priest Attacks Gay Rights Rally

This article talks about an attack on a gay rights rally in Georgia. The priests were able to break through the fences and lead this because they are above the law. They were carrying signs stating that being gay was mental genocide. There were 12 hospitalized due to the violence, in that number included policeman that were injured trying to protect the activists. Because of the very severe conservatism of the Orthodox church in this area, the priests and religious people of their church think that being gay is a sickness that they need to be cured from. It got so violent that the protesters would have been killed if there were not buses nearby to create shelter for them.
