Obama tells Navy class culture of sex assault must end

A Pentagon report shows that 26,000 military personnel may have been sexually assaulted in 2012 and the numbers have increased since the last year. Obama tells US Navy graduates that sexual assaults in the military must come to an end and that those who commit sexual assault are not only committing a crime, but they also threaten the trust and discipline that makes the military strong. Not only that, it also has the potential to damage large institutions he said. There was a bill introduced on Thursday that would impose dishonorable discharge as a minimum penalty for anyone found guilty of sexual assault or attempted assault.
