U.N. chief, in Russia, talks up Syria peace conference

I found this article interesting because it presents how an international organization like the U.N. tries to intervene between countries issues. We can see in this article that the U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon met with the Russian president Vladimir Putin to support a peace conference on Syria. A peace conference on Syria was proposed by Moscow and Washington earlier this month in order to solve the problem. Russia is moving their warships from all around the world to the Mediterranean Sea. Conversely, Israel has expressed fears that Assad might transfer Russian arms to the militant Lebanese Shiite group Hezbollah. Also, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited Putin to have a guarantee that Russia would not ship small arms to Syria. It seems to me that every country is trying to fix this problem, but when the increase of countries and weapons can increased the tension on the conflict that already exists.
