For Those Who Remain in Syria, Daily Life Is a Nightmare

National news has divided much of their attention to the crisis in Syria. While most of us know that it is miserable there and refugees are doing all they can to leave, I don't think some really understand the amount of damage it has done to the people of Syria and the country itself, in particular over the past month. While the news has done a great job covering this topic, the images displayed in this article are far more effective than the ones you see on the news. The statistics are just astonishing as over 550 people have died in the last month alone. It has gotten so bad that the people have no resorted to hiding in fields or just staying inside all the time praying they won't get killed. To make matters worse, 123 children have died in the past month. The people still living in the villages have been rounding up necessities in order to survive. The surrounding countries of Syria are now starting to put up boarders and do all they can to try and keep refugees out of their country as four million Syrians have already fled. But, recently President Obama had said we would take 10,000 Syrian refugees within the next year. Hopefully with the help of the United States and other countries like Germany, France, and Britain we can get people out of Syria as quick as possible. Me as well as many others are anxious to see how this all plays out.
