Xi Jinping Vows to ‘Reaffirm’ China’s Commitment to Women’s Rights
This article talks about the President of China ,Xi Jinping, and a very important promise he made in a United Nations meeting. After so many years in China, where women's rights were always less than men's rights, Jinping, promised that women in his country will have equal rights. There has been many women activists that have encouraged him to take this very important decision. I think this is a very important step to China because it shows that their society is improving and they will have new norms. Jinping pledged to build 100 schools for girls and 100 health clinics, and offering to bring 30,000 women from developing countries to China to receive training in various skills. Many leaders of other countries were also inspired and agreed to work on equal rights for women in their own countries.
