U.S. to take in more refugees

As we all know the situation in Serbia is not good to say the least and there is so much more countries can be doing to help out with the refugees. In this article John Kerry announced that the U.S. would be increasing its cap from 70,00 to 85,000 and then 100,000 the following year, which is a good start. Most countries are very skeptical about letting the refugees into their country because of all the burden it could possible put on them. Hungary and Austria have been welcoming with re-opening their borders this last weekend. More countries in the area need to also take initiative and help out with all of these people seeking a better life.

I know that is easier said than done but we have to have an open mind about this and think, what would we want someone to do for us. I feel as if the countries in Europe are only worried about the short term issues that the influx of people could bring when really they should be thinking, how could these people help contribute to our society. Although this is a huge issue and will take some time to be resolved we need to get moving otherwise these people are sitting ducks and that could end very bad for them.
