Russian Arms deal with India comes while U.S. military changes priorities

Earlier today, Russian President Vladimir Putin's made a new $5 billion weapons deal with India, who is a key American ally, to sell an advanced S-400 air defense system. This is just the latest open challenge by Russia to the U.S. defense dominance. This took place while the U.S. changes is military priorities. The S-400 is one of Russia's air defense systems, which it is also trying to sell to Turkey, who is another key U.S. ally. The S-400 underscores the type of worry U.S. commanders have. In the field, it functions with a virtual umbrella of radars and missiles that can limit the ability of the US military to operate freely and without restrictions in combat.
