Italians Detained in Afghanistan

Just a day ago, news broke out from Afghanistan claiming that a few Italian medical providers and aid workers were apprehended along with others by having ties to the Taliban and attempting an "alleged plot" to murder one of Afghanistan's governors.  One of the governors of Afghanistan's provinces, Gulab Mangal, claimed that explosives and vests hooked with bombs were uncovered at an Italian-run charity hospital and that the explosives and vests reached the hospital through a "foreign staff."  The Italian charity, however, is denying these allegations and believes their detained workers are completely innocent.  They're also claiming that they're not being able to reach the workers and Afghanistan's government isn't coming forward to fully explain why they've been detained.  The charity also believes that the charity itself and its workers have provided care and help to Afghans and that their workers' human rights not be taken away from them.
