Russia Presses Forward With Competitiveness in the Scientific Computer World

Near a village outside Moscow a scientific computer city is being developed. The country is looking for a breakthrough in the computer world so it will no longer have to rely on oil as a source for the well being of its economy. The creation of the Russian scientific computer city is said to be modeled off of California’s Silicon Valley. Many are skeptical of the new development because of the tight involvement the Russian government will have on it. Entrepreneurs and scientist have often had a conflicting relationship with the Russian government. The Russian government has contributed $200 million in government money to help fund the project. It is projected that the development should be complete within 3 years.
