Indonesian police foil Islamic bombing attempt

Indonesian police shot and killed a suspected Islamist militant trying to bomb a roadside traffic post in the West Java Province following a counterterrorism effort that swept through the country. It is believed that the man was attempting to retaliate for recent counterterrorist raids in Indonesia. The counterterrorism unit is funded by the United States and have killed 17 and arrested 8 suspects in the past 11 days. One group of whom were arrested by this unit admitted that they were planning to attack Myanmar's embassy. This unit has proved to be successful, having killed the leader of the local terrorist group on May 7th. Indonesia has been expelling, killing, and arresting members of multiple different terrorist organizations since 2002.
