In his first visit since reelection, Obama visited Mexico and released statements about two large issues: drug trafficking and immigration. Obama aims to continue stringent enforcement against illegal drugs while also conceding that the U.S. is not blameless for the presence of guns in Mexico that have contributed to the escalating violence between drug cartels. He seeks an economically rejuvenated Mexico that will be able and willing to address its own security concerns as well as be able to provide employment and incentive for its young citizens to stay in the country instead of illegally entering the U.S.
