The parliament of Crimea has held a vote about joining Russia and it was unanimous. They have also moved up the public referendum to March 16. Kiev and the interim government installed has publicly denounced the movements Crimea has taken to separate from Ukraine, saying it is illegal. President Obama has also spoke out against Crimea and Russia's actions, saying the actions "violate international law". President Obama has been taking small steps to show his opposition toward Russia's movements. He has recently signed an executive order banning visas from anyone who is directly involved with the conflict and he has also called Russia's President, Vladimir Putin to speak about the ongoing conflict. Secretary of State, John Kerry has also taken steps towards diplomatic actions to help with the conflict.
