Rubio Proposes Venezuela Sanctions

Senator Marco Rubio of Florida as stated that he feels sanctions must be put on high level officials of the Venezuelan government. One of his main goals is to take away travel visas from these individuals. Rubio believes that this would be crippling to many because of how often they travel to the United States, particularly Florida. Considering that Rubio represents Florida this legislation isn't all that shocking. You can bet his constituents have seen some Venezuelan officials wandering Miami and now want to push back on a corrupt government. However, Rubio is not looking to put sanctions on the entire country, particularly the oil industry. In his opinion the oil industry is already collapsing because of bad leadership. In Rubio eyes if the leaders in Venezuela can be put under control through sanctions that may be the best method to solving the situation in Venezuela.
