Chemnitz arrests: Six held for alleged far-right militancy in German city
In Germany, the influx of immigrants from mostly the Middle East has caused a far-right uprising in Germany. The city of Chemnitz has a very strong far-right presence. This presence grew when a man was killed by migrants in August. A group called "Revolution Chemnitz" had six people arrested between the ages of 20 and 31. The men were planning to attack foreigner, politicians, and senior civil servants. Five out of the six suspects were caught using glass bottles, steel knuckles, and tasers to attack foreign residents on September 14th. Another attack was planned for October 3rd. Another suspect was charged on the 14th of September, and he is believed to be the leader of the group. Other groups like the AfD (Alternative for Germany Party) and the Pegida movement have been growing throughout the nation causing a change in policy against immigration.
