A former guard stationed at the Auschwitz concentration camp has been arrested in southern Germany. The guard, 93 year-old Hans Lipschis, was deemed among the top four most-wanted Nazis for his work at the camp. The prosecution has accused Lipschis of crimes including acting as an accessory to mass murder. Lipschis does not deny his service at the camp but claims he worked there as a cook and had no knowledge of the mass murders occurring. The arrest was part of a new series of investigations pursued against remaining Nazi guards.
