In a recent report by the Pentagon, they allege that China has repeatedly mounted cyber attacks on US computers in diplomatic, economic, and defense bases that support national defense programs. These attacks, they say, are aimed at getting information that can help increase China's technology and defense programs. The pentagon says this has been happening since as early as 2006. A private group named Mandiant traces the hacking back to a secret division of China's military located near Shanghai.
