Why Latin America’s Homophobic Leaders Should Stop Their Gay Bashing

The new president of Venezuela used Gay bashing in order to win some of the vote to become president. He is now claiming that he is not a homophobe and is apologizing for his behavior. It shows that there is still an issue with gay rights in many Latin American countries. The Ecuadorian president was caught saying two slurs during a speech before the presidential elections. This article touches on a variety of Latin American leaders that have made a public announcement against homosexuals and gay marriage.
