According to this article, ISIS released
some photographs of its persecutions for gay people in March 2015. The
photographs show ISIS throws a guy off a building, and people are just watching
what is happening from the ground. The guy was killed because he was gay.
Citizens are just watching what is going on, and they are not doing anything,
just watching. In the article, also gay Syrians talk about their experience of
being abused when they were in Syria. Now they are in Turkey and they says they
will never return to Syria.
I
think it is just awful. I cannot understand why people are killed because of
their sexuality. Is it such a huge issue for ISIS? Gay people do not cause
trouble to them at all. Also I cannot understand why citizens could be just
watching when ISIS kills gay people. Probably it is because being gay is awful
and wrong for Syrian people, but gay people are same human beings like non-gay
people. I cannot believe not only these persecutions caused by ISIS but also it
seems like citizens do not care about it so much. The value of life should be
same in all human beings and we should not overlook these awful issues. It should
not happen that the only choice is to move from their home country or be abused
because of their sexuality, it is really sad.
