ISIS just recently released photographs of men being pushed off of a building then being stoned because they were homosexual. It showed three men that surrounded the victim and after he fell to the ground other men with stones and weapons surrounded him. These pictures show that there are tons of people around watching, but the most horrifying thing about them is that none of them seem scared or surprised in any way. It seems as if they expect it and the reporter makes a claim that they could be happy to get rid of the homosexuals of the city.
This article really struck me because I firmly believe that this is another point where the US NEEDS to step in now. Killing men because they are homosexual, the people watching and not helping, and threatening more is a recipe for genocide. If we consider that the religion there forbids homosexuality and the extremism of ISIS, it must be clear that a genocide has a very good chance of approaching. ISIS makes claims like the homosexual actions are the sins that shake the throne of God and they must be eliminated. Although not all of America is for gay marriage I still think it is important that everyone sees that these are clear violations of human rights (which everyone no matter what sexuality has), and these men have been verbally and physically abused by other people not of this extreme organization since childhood. This is another line that ISIS will cross and we must stop them before things go as far as a genocide.
