When meeting with the Japanese Prime Minister, Trump has declared that the era of strategic patience with North Korea is over. He has stated that the Japanese government is in full support of this change in strategy. Trump continues to defend his use of strong rhetoric when addressing North Korea and states that previous diplomatic strategies have only allowed North Korea to become more dangerous and that the only way forward is through extreme pressure. I'm glad to see Japan in full support of putting pressure on North Korea in an effort to keep us and our allies safer.
