With Ships and Missiles, China Is Ready to Challenge U.S. Navy in Pacific

I though this article was very interestimg because we talked about this a little bit last class about China continuously becoming a greater and greater global power and every aspect. This article talks about China's first aircraft carrier on the pacific. A modernization program coming out of China is having the US troubled and shocked by the power that China is creating. China believes that they can now challenge the US in the Pacific with aircraft carriers and such. China is rapidly becoming powerful in the military aspect as well which is challenging the US by stationing themseleves in different areas. It seems as if the US will not be the most powerful country in the wolrd in the near future. China's economy is also booming so it is interesting to see the relationship that evolves within these two global powers. Experts believe that China is now able to completely control the South Asian Sea. So this discussiom will comtinue to be interesting with the relationship between these two countries and their evolving power.
