There is a huge global vaccination inequality going on! In Africa only 3% of the population is vaccinated; Covax, a global institution aimed at fairly distributing COVID-19 has proven to have unsurprisingly put less effort into delivering vaccines to the African continent. Wealthy countries have been very egocentric(us first)--according to Our World Data, only 0.4 of worldwide doses have been delivered among underdeveloped countries. I went back home(Rwanda) on last year’s Christmas, COVID-19 has been devastating everything on the worst level. However, Africa is starting to get a few improvements hoping that more and more people will get vaccinated soon.
