Afghanistan: Women's rights

I was born and raised in Japan, so Afghanistan is far away from Japan, and I was not very familiar with it. However, with the recent collapse of the government in Afghanistan and the Taliban taking control of the entire country and establishing a new government, we have been seeing more and more about Afghanistan in the news. After reading this article, I felt that it is important to find a way to solve the problem of Islamic law and gender issues. In the latter half of the 20th century, with the increase in awareness of women's rights and gender equality, the number of clauses disadvantageous to women has gradually decreased, but still needs improvement. The lines that define men and women and their ways of being are not determined by God, but by human beings. This is not just about Afghanistan, but about what is important to us and how to make our lives easier.
