Author Jorge Engels of CNN wrote an article about the recent news about 20 people killed during the Ecuador Prison riot. Early Sunday morning at Turi Prison, the riots began to break out due to a leadership dispute within the prison gang, the Wolves. Carlos Cabera, General of ther National Police Force in Ecudor said,"19 of the victims were killed due to “acts of violence” and one was killed after ingesting a chemical substance. At least 11 others were injured". Before these riots, the prison has been under a State of Emergency due to "deadly clashes" since this past September when 118 memebers were killed with weapons and gernades.
