I wanted to write about this article because I think it is very exciting news. This article is all about Judge Ketanji Jackson's confirmation into the Supreme Court. Jackson is the first black woman to serve as a Supreme Court justice. This also means that there will now be 4 women on the court and 2 Black justices. This is a huge step in the right direction for the Supreme Court. Within the article there are quotes from a reporter and also students from women of the Harvard Black Law Students Association from which Judge Jackson graduated. In the quotes they answer "How Ketanji Jackson's nomination affected them on a personal level" Their words were so positive and inspiring. My favorite was student Brianna Banks who wrote "the sky is the limit" expressing how she felt that black women no longer have restrictions or limitations as to what job they get after seeing Judge Jackson's confirmation. Judge Ketanji Jackson is an inspiration for all people and this article showed that. If you have the time take a look, it is so uplifting! It's such a breath of fresh air to see positive things in current events.
