Let's give money to people suffering in other countries while children go without food in our own.

by Bri Roozen

As much as I love Hilary Clinton, I personally am not too happy with her recent decision. America has recently decided to send Pakistan over 100 million dollars to help alleviate the stress caused by fighting with Taliban extremists.  This is on top of another 60 million that we've already sent.  Clinton argues its necessary because the Pakistani government is helping America fight the extremists threatening our collective security, and they deserve to be supported through their hard times.

While I agree that what has fallen on our Pakistani is terrible, one cannot forgot that America is also in an economic depression, and throwing money at other countries when our own is full of citizens without a home is foolish.  In 2007 alone, almost 40 million people in the US were battling with starvation, and I can't imagine that number has fallen with the recent downturn in the economy.  With just over 300 million people in America, imagine what 160 million dollars could do for you.
