The Economic Recovery Advisory Board recently had its first quarterly meeting. The group was created in February to "promote economic growth and stability." Two main proponents the group focused on was job creation and green energy. Obama stated by developing green energy we will look beyond our immedaite crisis and begin to build a "sustainable economic model," which will consequently provide occupational opportunities.
Among a consensus of ideas was a fuel economy proposal set to be put in affect by 2016 that suggested that all passenger vehicles and light trucks perform at 35 gallons per gallon. The board plans to puruse green energy, saying it is a "win, win, win" for the counrty.
