Israel had sent three small quadcopters targeting a munitions factory in the city of Isfahan where Iran's air defense is located. Israel and US have been practicing different approaches in order to stop Iran from aiding Russia in Ukraine. Israel believes that this is one of the best ways to stop Iran from aiding Russia and not ruin the relationship they have with Russia. Since Russia and Israel have had a year-long understanding that has allowed Israeli warplanes to repeatedly strike Iranian targets inside Syria, where Moscow provides air defenses for President Bashar al-Assad, Israel believes that helping Ukraine indirectly would be the better approach to maintaining relationships between Russia and Israel.
