On Friday, January 27th, a 21-year-old Palestinian man opened fire outside of a synagogue in Jerusalem. Taking place on International Holocaust Remembrance Day, the gunman is said to have killed 7 and injured 10 Israelis during the shooting. This comes one day after the Israeli Defense Forces raided the Jenin refugee camp and ended up killing 9 Palestinians in the act. US officials are not mincing words, calling this shooting an act of terrorism on social media. Tensions between the Israelis and Palestinians only seem to be on the rise.
