Peru's Culture Ministry has closed off it's most popular tourist attraction after 417 visitors were stuck; unable to leave due to anti government protests. This is following the detainment of former Peruvian president Pedro Castillo for attempting to dissolve congress. Protesters are fighting for the current congress to be dissolved and to hold new elections. Additionally, they want the current President Dina Boluarte to resign as well. Peru's current political climate is dire.
