Within the country of Italy, 55 Alfredo Cospito supporters have been found torching cars and threatening officials in protest against the poor conditions under which Cospito has been during his one hundred-day hunger strike while imprisoned. This has led to new restrictions consisting of one monitored family visit and one telephone conversation a month. These new conditions have been used in the past to help cut off mafia bosses from getting or relaying information to the outside world.
