Pakistan Mobilising for Displaced

By Mei Kin Chew

Pakistan's offensive move against the militants displaced an estimated 200,000 people and speculating that 300,000 are still on the move, according to UN. This incident is termed as one of the 'huge' internal displacements in the world.

Medical staffs have been dispatched to weather the influx of the displaced individuals with numerous families already suffering from psychological trauma from the flee and the chaos.

President Asif Ali Zardari stated that the Pakistani troop will take an offensive move to retaliate. As much as the Pakistani military says that it is trying to help the civilians establish shelters, most of the families are 'unwilling or unable' to move.

Shortages of food and water, with the market closed and electricity shut down further complicate the living conditions of the innocent.
Those who have escaped blame both sides for the dire straits people are in right now.
