The situation in the Central African Republic continues as two Muslims are killed and burned by a Christian mob in the capital. This violence between the minority Muslims and majority Christians continues after the leader of the rebel group Seleka (Michel Djotodia) quit the presidency. This group had only last year overthrown the government, causing violence between Christians and Muslims. African Union soldiers are working to contain the violence with French troops approved by the UN. An interim president is currently being selected by a temporary parliament with a requirement for the candidates to have never been in a militant group or the Seleka group.
