Everyone knows that it is one of John Kerry's goals to solve the Israel-Palestine problem. However, most of these attempts have been kept secret. Very few people know the details of any meetings; until now. Because Kerry's attempts at peace have not worked there are plans for a framework agreement that will, hopefully, be announced at the end of January. Making this agreement public opens the door to criticism from the public and Congress. Because Netanyahu and Abbas have not drastically altered their opinions a broad agreement seems like the next best option.
