Congress pushes towards adding sanctions to Iran's nuclear program agreement

A bill going to Congress conflicts with the new agreement the US and other world powers have made with Iran with their nuclear program.  The bill's aim is to decrease oil exporting to zero.  The bill and its sponsors hope to add sanctions on the agreement for leverage on Iran to keep the agreement.  Currently, both Republicans and Democrats are backing the bill despite President Obama's public opposition to the sanctions.  Congress needs two thirds majority to override the veto of President Obama.  The recent count of 59 senators backing the bill is close to overriding the veto. The White House has released a statement speaking of the harm passing this bill will take on the diplomatic relations with Iran.  The bill for sanctions is a "march to war", the White House announced.  President Obama wants the recent agreement to mend the diplomatic relations, but believes the bill will potentially ruin the recent progress.
