Taliban attack kills at least 13

The attack in one of the deadliest attack in Kabul in years. It started of with a suicide bomber blowing himself up outside the restaurants front doors, following by gunmen entering the restaurant and firing in the busy dining room of the restaurant. The 13 that were killed on Friday evening were local Afghans and foreigners. The restaurant is very well known to have foreign diplomats come to the restaurant to relax and be treated very well by the restaurant owner who was a Lebanese who was one of the 13 dead. The target of the attack was La Taverna du Liban, the Lebanese restaurant. No direct attack to an individual or a group has been linked together yet. Although some of the foreign individuals that were killed were German officials. A Taliban spokesman made a statement "...a large number of foreign occupiers, most of them German, have suffered casualties." There can be a link that Taliban was focusing the attack on these specific German officials because they are being singled out. The restaurant was known to have high security and make foreign diplomants welcome but the security couldn't match the suicide bomber or the gunmen who were firing inside the restaurant for two hours.
